Traditionally Hillingdon Group has presented walk leaders with a certificate to mark the occasion of leading their 100th or 200th walk. This practice lapsed during the pandemic but has now been restarted.
Thanks to Mike Meehan for maintaining records of walks led.
Congratulations Mike Meehan on leading 100 walks.

Mike led his 100th walk for Hillingdon Ramblers on Sunday August 4th 2024.
Denise presented Mike with a certificate celebrating his 100th walk as leader. She reminded the group of the contribution that Mike has made over many years. He has maintained our archive without which we would not know when leaders pass these significant milestones.
He has served on the committee in several roles, notably as Footpath Secretary when he walked every public footpath in the borough. And as well as leading in the Chilterns, he led walks in Derbyshire when we holidayed in the Hope Valley.
Lesley then produced a bottle of red wine suitably entitled The Guv'nor for Mike to enjoy with his dinner later in the day. We hope that he'll continue to lead for many years to come!
Congratulations Barbara MacDonald on leading 200 walks.

On March 26th 2024 Barbara led her 200th walk for Hillingdon ramblers. Our group secretary Rob presented her with a certificate and flowers and thanked her for all her hard work. Barbara is a very active and valued member of the group and the committee. She is the Tuesday walks organiser, organises and leads holidays and has held many other roles during her time with Hillingdon Ramblers.
Congratulations Denise Cherry on leading 219 walks.

Denise led a walk from West Wycombe on Jan 15th 2023. This was the 219th walk that she had led for Hillingdon ramblers.
Denise is a very active walk leader and committee member. As there was a delay to the presentation of her 200th walk certificate Denise had squeezed in another 19 walks.
Just 81 to go until your 300th certificate Denise!
Congratulations John Kellet on leading 100 walks

On November 19th 2022 Jon Kellett was presented with a certificate in recognition of the one hundred walks he has led for Hillingdon Ramblers.
We are all very grateful for Jon’s contribution to the success of the group’s Saturday programme of morning and afternoon walks.
