Volunteers lunch
On Friday 3rd July our group held a walk and lunch to celebrate and acknowledge our volunteers.
The 5 mile walk through Ruislip Woods was led by Rob Jones-Owen. It was a lovely sunny day and we were grateful for the shady paths.
The lunch was held in St Martin’s Church hall. Food was prepared by our excellent catering committee Barbara MacDonald and Lesley Jones.
It was a relaxing and enjoyable day and a chance for volunteers to meet others whose paths don’t usually cross, perhaps because they lead walks on different days or they have a non-walking volunteer role.
After lunch Rob presented Barbara and Lesley with flowers and thanked them for their hard work preparing a lovely lunch.
