Hillingdon

In a departure from tradition this year we decided to hold a quiz with a fish and chip supper instead of the usual Christmas lunch.

There was a wide range of questions on general knowledge as well as questions devoted to our love of rambling. A fish and chip supper was delivered for those who had pre-ordered and we brought our own drinks and nibbles.

It was a very enjoyable evening culminating in an exciting tie for first place which was resolved with the quiz equivalent of a penalty shootout - a tie-break question.
The winning team comprised Charles, Elizabeth, Richard, Alison, Steve H. Very Well done to them!
The team who went out on penalties ahem - tie-break were Judy, Dawn, Colin, Jackie and Paul. Well done to them too.

Thanks to Jenny and Rob for providing an excellent range of questions, Rob for being an excellent quiz master with his experience of keeping order in the classroom shining through! Thanks to Barbara who organised and provided tea and coffee and Steve who handled the takeaway bookings and anyone else who helped out.
